Dale Palyeo

Born and raised in Roaring Creek, Cayo District, Dale Pelayo Sr. is a name synonymous with the grit and passion of Belizean sports. A true "Jaguar" at heart, Dale’s journey through the world of football has seen him transition from a clinical striker on the pitch to one of the country’s most respected strategic minds on the sidelines.

Dale first made waves in the late 90s, quickly establishing himself as a powerhouse in the Belizean league.

His breakthrough 1998–99 season with Juventud Benqueña—where he finished as the league’s leading goalscorer—marked the beginning of a storied playing career that included stints with giants like Real Verdes and the Belmopan Bandits.

After hanging up his boots in 2016, Dale didn’t step away from the game; he stepped up to lead it. Rising through the coaching ranks from the youth levels to the Senior National "A" Team, he has been a pivotal figure in shaping the next generation of Belizean talent. Whether leading the Jaguars through World Cup Qualifiers or mentoring the U-17 squad, Dale’s mission remains the same: to elevate Belizean football on the world stage while staying rooted in the community that raised him.
